Keep Wales Tidy: COPA1 Competition

The Eryri National Park Authority, in partnership with Keep Wales Tidy, have announced the launch of the COPA1, a competition to attend the first environmental summit on Yr Wyddfa. Watch the launch video here.

This exciting competition and event are part of the Plastic Free Yr Wyddfa project, aiming to tackle single-use plastic pollution through the innovative ideas of the next generation.

Young people from 11-17 years old are invited to submit video pitches on their ‘Big Ideas’ based on themes related to communication, policy, and innovation (full guidance on how to apply here). The closing date for submitting the video pitches to the competition is May 30, 2024.

Finalists of the competition will be invited to attend the conference to pitch their ideas in workshops on Yr Wyddfa on September 24, 2024. The event will include a train journey to the summit of Wales’ highest mountain. Three winning groups will be selected on the day to turn their ideas into reality with a £1,500 development grant.

Young people can apply through the website by clicking this link. All activities and resources to create video pitches can be found here too.
