Mae rhieni y collodd eu plant y brechlyn ffliw yn yr ysgol yn cael eu hannog i fanteisio ar y cynnig, wrth i achosion o ffliw yng Nghymru barhau ar gynnydd.
Dros 800,000 o bobl yng Nghymru sydd wedi cael eu brechu hyd yma, ond mae achosion o ffliw wedi cynyddu’n ddiweddar, a disgwylir mwy o achosion yn y cyfnod cyn y Nadolig.
Mae nifer uchel iawn o achosion sydd wedi’u cadarnhau ymhlith plant dan bump oed ar hyn o bryd.
Pam mae’n bwysig:
- Gall y ffliw fod yn ddifrifol i blant, ond mae’r brechlyn chwistrell trwyn yn lleihau’r risg o salwch difrifol. Hyd yn oed os bydd plant yn dal ffliw, mae’r brechlyn chwistrell trwyn yn golygu y bydd y symptomau’n debygol o fod yn ysgafnach ac yn fyrrach.
- Mae’r brechlyn ffliw chwistrell trwyn yn ddiogel, yn ddi-boen, ac wedi helpu i amddiffyn dros 230,000 o blant oedran ysgol yng Nghymru y llynedd.
- Mae’r brechlyn ffliw chwistrell trwyn yn helpu i atal y salwch rhag lledaenu i frodyr a chwiorydd, neiniau a theidiau a pherthnasau sy’n wynebu mwy o risg o salwch difrifol.
- Bydd y rhan fwyaf o blant wedi’u hamddiffyn o fewn 14 diwrnod o gael y chwistrell trwyn ffliw.
- Mae un chwistrell trwyn cyflym yn helpu i gadw plant yn iach – gan leihau’r risg o afiechydon a allai amharu ar eu dysgu, eu chwarae a’ch bywyd teuluol.
- Mae’r ffliw hefyd yn rhoi pwysau ychwanegol ar y GIG bob gaeaf, gan gynyddu’r galw am welyau a gwasanaethau gofal brys – mae brechu’n helpu i leddfu’r straen hwnnw.

Parents whose children missed their flu vaccine in school are being urged to take up the offer, as flu cases in Wales continue to rise.
More than 800,000 people in Wales have already been vaccinated, but flu activity has increased recently, and more cases are expected in the run up to Christmas.
Confirmed cases in children under five are currently very high.
Why it matters:
- Flu can be serious for children, but the nasal spray vaccine reduces the risk of serious illness. Even if children catch flu, the nasal spray vaccine means symptoms are likely to be milder and shorter.
