As part of their study of Castles this term, Year 7 visited Conwy Castle.
It was a very enjoyable day where students got the chance to climb the towers and walk the castle walls built by Edward I as part of his ‘ring of castles’ in 1289.
The visit gave students an insight into the defensive features of medieval castles, and how life would have existed inside it’s mighty walls.
Mrs. Wright -Davies, Curriculum Leader for History said:
”We had a really interesting day learning all about the castle and its past, it really brought medieval history to life. We were lucky to have perfect weather and the conduct of students was praised by local shopkeepers, so well done Year 7!”.
Students ended the day with fish and chips on the harbour side.
