Wrexham National Eisteddfod

The National Eisteddfod is one of Europe’s largest arts festivals, and annually attracts over 150,000 visitors. Between August 2nd – August 9th, 2025, the Eisteddfod will return to Wrexham for the first time in 14 years.

One of the highlights of the festival includes the Flower Dance performed during the Gorsedd Ceremonies at the Eisteddfod itself, and at the Proclamation Ceremony, to be held in the area on the 27th of April.

Twenty children from the Eisteddfod catchment area have the opportunity to take part in this prestigious event, and perform the Flower Dance. Children currently in year 6, 7 and 8 of Wrexham schools are invited to attend an audition to select the final squad. Auditions for interested children (boys and girls) will be held this Sunday (February 25th) at Plas Coch Primary School, Wrexham at 10.30am.
