Chirk Carnival returns this Saturday – June 6th – with live music, stunt shows, family entertainment and advance ticket savings
Chirk Carnival returns this Saturday 6th June, bringing a full day of entertainment, live performances, food, shopping and family fun to Chirk Recreation Ground from 10am to 5pm.
The popular community event will feature an action-packed programme for all ages, including live music from Matt Caroll, The C90’s, and a headline performance to finish the day from Six Ton Dog, a fantastic bilingual covers band.
Visitors can also enjoy thrilling stunt shows from the Ben Savage Stunt Team, featuring their Red Bull riders, as well as live wrestling shows throughout the day. Local talent will be showcased with performances from Delta Dance Academy and Border County Gymnastics.
Families will have plenty to enjoy, with free circus skills workshops, Nerf Wars courses running all day, and a family fairground with rides suitable for all ages.
The event will also include a large marquee filled with local businesses, alongside a fantastic selection of street food traders from across Wales, offering visitors the chance to shop local, discover new products and enjoy great food throughout the day.
Advance tickets are on sale now, with a 50% discount currently available for families. A family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children is just £5 in advance, compared with £10 on the gate on the day.
Chirk Carnival relaunched in 2022 with the support of City of Culture funding as part of Wrecsam’s bid for City of Culture. Since then, the event has gone from strength to strength, welcoming thousands of visitors to Chirk each year and becoming a much-loved date in the local calendar.

Chirk Recreation Ground is conveniently located just a short walk from Chirk train station, with a bus stop right outside the gates, making it easy for visitors to travel to the event by public transport.
