The History department threw Ysgol Rhiwabon’s very own VE day street party. Students were able to help themselves to war time snacks and join in the fun to mark 80 years since the end of the Second World War.
The school has been decorated in bunting and union flags to mark the occasion and students across the curriculum took part in activities to educate all students on the importance of remembering the dedication and sacrifice of those who served.
At 12noon the whole school joined the country in holding a 2 minutes silence in remembrance.
