In December we reported how Year 9 pupils had enjoyed taking part in the NEST CRE8 competition.
The task presented to them was to design and build an energy efficient model.
The winning team from December progressed to the CRE8 Area Finals which were held in Glyndwr University on Jan 30th.
Mrs Trudi Meinken, Welsh Baccalaureate Co-coordinator said,
‘The students had to complete a final task on financial/marketing strategies for the product, targeting maximum audiences within a strict budget, performance and forecast of sales. Students also met with the Cabinet Secretary Leslie Griffiths, where they were asked about their product and its functions. The overall day was excellent and we had a terrific time’.
