Public Acts of Community Kindness (PACK)

Ysgol Rhiwabon staff and Governors would like to send our very best wishes to all our students, their families and the wider local community, including all our feeder primary schools. We realise that this is a difficult and challenging time for all of us and that it is important to look after each other.

As a school, we have decided to send a kindness challenge out to everyone in the local community and particularly to the young people who attend Ysgol Rhiwabon. Last week we sent a pack home with every child to support learning at home. Now we are asking for a pack back!

Public Acts of Community Kindness

We are looking to award positive behaviour points to our learners for any public act of community kindness carried out from the safety of home.

This might be writing postcards and letters to people who feel lonely through the necessary isolation, sharing creative art, music and dance through technology or completing chores around the house!

Adults can join the challenge, as we would like to hear how our families in the area might be volunteering to shop and carry out important deliveries to those who are vulnerable or to hear about essential jobs that highlight a selfless way commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of others.

Next week there will be a form on our website to complete ready to share, or simply email in any information about acts of kindness in the community.

In the future, we plan to celebrate this challenge through an Awards Ceremony and we will look forward to seeing you there.

We hope this will help our young people to, “Stay Home. Safe and Kind!”

With all our best wishes,

Melanie Ferron-Evans
