Ysgol Rhiwabon was the place to be on June 28th, for the Summer Open Celebration Evening.
The level of interested primary school parents was very high, but the highlight of the evening was the numerous Parents and Grandparents being shown around the school by the new Year 6 pupils, the latter eager to show what they had done and where they had been during their three day transition day programme.
The Headteacher gave a presentation during the evening with its emphasis on tradition, hard work and community links.
Mrs Ferron-Evans, Headteacher, said,
‘I am really pleased with how our Celebration Evening went. The level of interest shown in our school has been fantastic and I now look forward to meeting our entire new intake again.
‘The website and app. reflect the historic links we have to the area and I’ve used this to show our strong community focus, and how successful our students have been over time.
I was delighted to be able to speak to so many parents and grandparents, face to face, during the evening; it really was a pleasure. I would like to thank everyone for their extremely positive comments on the school’.
As a school, we would also like to express our gratitude to all our community supporters who attended last night,. A big thankyou to: SG Estates ltd, Ram Leisure Ltd, Manor Adventure Ltd, St Marys Church Ruabon, The Friends of Ruabon, The 1251 Air Cadets Squadron, The Ruabon newsletter , Kate Tiltman ( Vicar for Ruabon) and last, but definitely not least, all the new Year 6 pupils who came to show their parents around, after a successful 3 day transition.
