Ysgol Rhiwaon Year 10 Technology students are currently taking part in the F1 Challenge.

The F1 challenge is a competition organised by jaguar and Denford.

The competition is open to any school in the uk, and It involves a team of pupils designing and making a concept F1 Car.

The team members all have different roles within the team and are all responsible for a different part of the project. They have to produce a 25-30 A3 Porfolio, a working model of the car made from balsa wood, and produce a slideshow which lasts 5 mins which they are judged on.

The regional finals will be held at Bangor University, in December, and then, if the team succeed, they go onto the National finals in the NEC in Birmingham, in January. Success in Birmingham, results in a trip to the world finals the following summer, which last year were held in Singapore.
