Definitely worth preserving!

In January, Mr. Loynes and a group of Ysgol Rhiwabon Year 12 AS Biology students, visited Chester Zoo. The visit was part of the students' studies on the preservation of animal species.

As part of their AS course, the students have to compile a report on the benefits and disadvantages of using zoos to conserve animal species, as opposed to attempting to protect them in the wild.

The students spoke to zoo-keepers, viewed the animals, and collected information for the reports they have to submit later in the year.
