ysgol rhiwabon
Annual Sponsored Walk - 2011
Every year, rain or shine, Ysgol Rhiwabon organises a sponsored charity walk. All pupils and all members of staff are encouraged to take part (and much fun is had by all!)

This year, the weather was kind to us, and conditions were reasonable.

The route begins at the school, skirts the villages of Penycae and Rhos, and climbs to the Rhos and Penycae mountain gates on Ruabon Mountain. The return descends via the Penycae reservoir, and back to the school gates.



In total, a distance of some 9 miles is covered, with a 175 metres of altitude climbed (and descended!)
