"Aren't we meant to be IN the canoe ...?"

The Duke of Edinburgh's Silver Award requires students to complete a 3-day, self-sufficient camping expedition, either walking, canoeing or on horseback.


This year's canoeing group started their training for the DofE Silver award with a day on Ellesmere, where they were introduced to flatwater paddling skills.

There will be several more training sessions to be completed before their practice expedition on the river Severn in July.
