We at Ysgol Rhiwabon take our links with the local community very seriously, and are proud to act as a focus for various local agencies who work with young people.

Key players in the local partnership are the Wrexham Youth Work in Education Team, and Plas Madoc Communities First Teams.

Recently, the school's efforts were rewarded by an award from the Welsh Secondary Schools Association.

The school has varied links to its core catchment areas through participation in local community police and resident's meetings in Ruabon, to an after-school facility at the Dee Valley Community Partnership building in Cefn Mawr.

All main local areas are co=ordinated by senior staff who strive to develop the school as an extension of the communities it serves.
