Ruabon ATC Squadron Website The Air Training Corps is part of the Air Cadet Organisation (ACO) which also includes RAF Sections of the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), the Air Training Corps is a voluntary youth organisation supported by the Royal Air Force. With almost 41,000 members, aged from 13 to 20 years, within over 1,000 Squadrons, the ATC is one of the country's premier youth organistions and the world's largest youth air training organisation. The Cadets are supported by a volunteer Staff of nearly 10,000 plus 5,000 Civilian Committee Members. The Aims of the Air Training Corps are:- To promote and encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force 1. Friday November 27th - Annual Awards On Friday 27th November 2009, the squadron is holding an annual awards and presentation night. The evening commences at 7pm, and will consist of an enrolment and the awards presentation. Some of the cadets will also be making some presentations providing an overview of their activities and achievements over the past 12 months, and also looking ahead to 2010. The Civilian Committee will be holding their AGM beforehand at 6.30pm, which all are more than welcome to attend. 2. Monday November 30th - Recruitment Evening On Monday November 30th at 7pm, the Ruabon ATC Squadron will be holding it's Recruitment Evening. Students over 13 years old are welcome to join, along with any adult volunteers, also! |
