Mathematics can be studied for one year at AS level or two years at A2. The course consists of 6 units of study of which 3 are studied at AS and another 3 for A2.

To follow Mathematics at AS or A2 level students are expected to have gained at least a C grade at GCSE Higher level.

Each unit is assessed through a written paper of 1½ hours sat in June. An aggregate score of the uniform marks in these papers will lead to an AS or A2 award.
