In the exam, you should not use the "trade names" for software. You may be familiar with a particular piece of software but that does not mean that the examiner has heard of it. You should use the software's "generic name", if you do not you may loose marks.
For a non computer example "Ariel" is a well known trade name for a particular washing product. It's generic name would be washing powder or washing tablets.
Generic names for software are word processing, desk top publishing, database, spreadsheet etc.
Look at the software listed on the left and match each up with the correct generic name by dragging the generic name to the trade name.
