Year 7 RS students took part in Christian Aid week (13th-19th May) by delivering flyers and donation envelopes to the local community. You can see some photos of year 7 here.
Here students were given a tour of the Mosque and a detailed explanation of all its features. You can see a gallery of photos of the visit here.
Students had the opportunity to work in small groups where they researched one of the denominations assigned to their group. They then gathered all their information to create a presentation that they delivered back to class. You can see a gallery of photos of the Year 8 here.
Pupils from form 7GE were the most recent Ysgol Rhiwabon pupils to visit the Church. You can see a gallery of photos of the visit here.
They took part in many different activities in relation to their short course GCSE and also had a talk from Gee Walker, the mother who lost her son Anthony Walker in a tragic race related crime. Students also took part in posing questions to a panel of Christians about belief and practice in a question time style activity. You can see a gallery of photos of the visit here. |
