Visits and Excursions |
They visited Hampton Court Palace and the Tower of London as part of their study on Tudor Britain. Students also enjoyed shopping on Oxford Street and a visit to the British Museum. . You can see a gallery of photos taken during the the visit here.
This was organised by the Holocaust Educational Trust which allows two students from every school/college in Wales to take part in this visit. Prior to the trip the two students listened to a Holocaust survivor in Cardiff. Later in the year, the students will be producing a presentation about their visit to the rest of the school in the summer term. You can see a gallery of photos taken during the the visit here.
Pupils in Year Nine visited the Slavery Museum at the Albert Dock in Liverpool on Friday 28th January 2011, accompanied by Mrs Ellis, Ms Navarro, Mrs Tarver and Mrs Jones. Pupils were able to look at the museum's exhibition and took part in a 'handling session' where they were able to look at artefacts connected with the Slave Trade, including shackles and chains of the slaves. Pupils in year 7 visited Ruthin Castle as part of their study of Medieval History on Wednesday 8th December. Pupils enjoyed a tour of the castle walls, took part in a medieval music workshop and enjoyed a medieval banquet. You can see photos of the visit here. |
