YSGOL RHIWABON GUEST BOOKThursday, February 24, 2005Bethan
Wow, ruabon entering the 21st century :) Been a while since I've been back but big thank you to some great teachers namely Derick Roberts, Mr T(Thompson) and Huw Phillips with his rubber ducks!!(not to mention the tights) And of course, Mrs Bellis who I lived in fear of but I think we all agree couldn't have been a better teacher (and believe me we still have this conversation!). Also a special thank you to J. Mackay who told me I had ideas above my station and was fooling myself that i'd ever go to uni.. BA hist later... Cant believe I'm now a grown-up. Hope all is well xx Wednesday, February 23, 2005Donna Bickerton (1996-2001)

I attended Ruabon Girls Grammar School from 1963 onward. It was a totally Ethel Wood regime. (Fear instilled into any-one who forgot to don the ugly berets - green or red) Who could ever forget the dreaded "house shoes". I always remember thinking that if I wore the same style and colour shoes, could I possibly blame this on the fact that my sisters (there were three of us at the school at the time) and possibly avoid the wrath of Ethel Wood.Kathyroux@earthlink.net Kathleen Jones of 50 Heol-Cefnydd Cefn Mawr Wrexham.
