 Callum Edwards, year 10, explains more about the Ysgol Rhiwabon Eco-Schools project:- I have been a member of the Eco-Committee since it started in Ysgol Rhiwabon, in December 2007. I feel very priveleged to be on the committee as it is a new initiative at Ysgol Rhiwabon, and will mean a change to the way the shool functions. We have held three meetings so far, one being held each half-term. We have chosen three topics to focus our efforts on:- 1. school grounds 2. waste minimisation 3. litter In the past months, Groundwork have placed plant boxes and built a new garden feature near the school entrance. The committee would like to apply for the Bronze Award and Silver Award by the end of the smmer term.
