Sunshine Project

Some of the Children of the Sunshine Project International
Since 2005, the pupils of Ysgol Rhiwabon have been raising money to support the Sunshine Project International charity.

The Sunshine Project runs an orphanage and school for abandoned babies in Luxor, Egypt.

As of February 2008 there were 81 children registered into the Project’s permanent care. This number could increase at any given time.



To raise funds, Ysgol Rhiwabon's students take part in a sponsored KS3 Readathon, and a whole school non-uniform day, each year.

In 2005 we raised £600; in 2006, £300; and in 2007, £600.
