Area 51 Sensory Garden

The original wilderness...

Area 51 is a project which has been devised and executed by the year 10 vocational training group.


As part of their GCSE course in Applied Art and Design the group of twelve students are undertaking a long term project to reclaim a neglected area to the rear of the school and turn it into a sensory garden, which it is hoped will be available to other students and subjects as an outdoor study area.




Initial clearing of the site has begun and the students will be hoping to make the whole area suitable for planting flowering bulbs.


Students are busily planning other aspects of the garden, including colour schemes, sound-scapes and scented areas.
