Cross Curricular Focus Day

Students experienced a theme- based day, learning through skills.

Year 7 experienced world nature and science at Liverpool museum.

Year 8’s theme was re-newable energy and a team of experts came to give a talk and workshops based on how we can build houses for the future which are ‘greener’.

Year 9 were active in a range of artistic, creative and games based activities on European Culture.

Year 10 covered ‘communication skills’ through looking at ‘we are what we wear’. As well as discussing they also created fantastic garments made from recycled items.

Year 11 produced items to sell at the charity Christmas fair and developed their ‘working with other skills’ through extensive team work and group planning.

You can see a gallery of photos of the day here.

Another day is planned for March when students will be able to expand on their skills and complete the Key Skills accreditation.
