Every year Ysgol Rhiwabon year 11 pupils spend time out of school gaining valuable experience of working "in the real world".
The school places these students in local businesses, schools,local government offices, law courts and other local places of employment.
This yearover a hundred Year 11 students went on Work Experience the week before the October Half Term. Placements included local schools, Ty Mawr Country Park, WMBC Housing dept., National Trust properties, and even the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff.
Valuable experience was also provided by local businesses such as hairdressing salons, window cleaners. shops, garages, and sports establishments.

The feed back from employers was excellent; and students felt they had gained much from their placements.
