"trips day"

A soggy group on Snowdon
Wednesday, July 14th, was this year's "Trips Day". Staff and pupils downed tools for the day and went together in search of some well-earned recreation.

Year 7 went bowling and visited LaserQuest in Chester, Year 8 went to Drayton Manor, and Year 9 to Alton Towers, whilst Year 10 pupils took part in "Crystal Maze"  activities in school.

Fourteen of our hardier Year 12 students (and 4 staff) headed off to Snowdonia for a days hillwalking .

Unfortunately the weather wasnt very kind to them. Having  walked up the Miners track to the junction with the Pyg track, the group was forced to decide that the conditions and the forecast were not suitable to go on to the summit .They walked down the Pyg track in heavy rain  .The intention is to return to the top of the mountain in September

You can see pictures of the soggy sixth-forners here.
