YR mock election |
||||
At the same time as the UK was electing a new government, recently, so Ysgol Rhiwabon students were organising their own "mock election". Four Year 12 students acted as candidates for the main parties in Wales,and all students and staff were entitled to vote
Callum Edwards "stood" as the Labour candidate, Josh Williams as the Conservative Party candidate, whilst Sally Morris stood for Plaid Cymru, and John Mainley for the LibDems. Each candidate produced a manifesto, and campaigned around the school during the days leading up to the election.
The results of Ysgol Rhiwabon's mock election mirrored the national election results for Clwyd South, with a victory for Labour |
