National Eisteddfod

Pupils from Ysgol Rhiwabon recently attended the Proclamation Ceremony of the Welsh National Eisteddfod, in Wrexham.
The Proclamation Ceremony is a traditional ceremony whose main purpose is to proclaim that the Eisteddfod will visit a local area within at least a year and a day.
The Eisteddfod will be in Wrexham from 30 July to 6 August next year, and consequently, the Proclamation Ceremony was held on Wrexham's Llwyn Isaf near the Guildhall.
Hundreds of people came to show their support and to witness a spectacular procession through the town.
