It is my privilege to introduce you to Ysgol Rhiwabon, a warm, dynamic and friendly school where we challenge our students to be the very best that they can be in all aspects of school life.

Ysgol Rhiwabon serves a wide and diverse community. We are one of only a few schools in Wrexham to offer an 11 to 18 education and continually review our curriculum to ensure it meets the demands of our learners.

Currently we are the only school in Wales to be a member of the Prince’s Teaching Institute which has at its heart the aim of developing “inspiring teachers who are knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects”. We are delighted to have met the very exacting criteria set by the Prince’s Teaching Institute which accurately reflects the vibrant, engaging and challenging teaching and learning that is apparent every day of the week here at Ysgol Rhiwabon.

There will be some significant changes to school life here in the coming months. Our mantra is very much about having “good as the minimum expectation in every single aspect of school life” and the changes will, I believe, reflect this renewed push to exceed and excel throughout the school.
